Rennaissance Faires
The Belles of Bedlam
The Alchemist — Thu, 03/18/2010 - 1:09am
Another of my favorite singing groups from Ren Faire.
The Poxy Boggards
The Alchemist — Thu, 03/18/2010 - 1:04am
One of my favorite musical groups from faire. I first encountered them at the Southern California Renaissance Pleasure Faire when I was working at the faire many years ago, and I've followed them ever since.
New Irvine Ren Faire
The Alchemist — Wed, 12/30/2009 - 12:49am
A new faire in Irvine, at Irvine Lake, near the old Crossroads Orange/Irvine faire site, comming in March
Into A New World Renaissance and Fantasy Faire
I'll try and give an event review after I've seen how it does.
Koroneburg Renaissance Festival
The Alchemist — Mon, 08/17/2009 - 2:37am
A decent mid-sized faire with room to grow, but with a few management and promotion problems.
One to watch and see how it does in the future as there are unconfirmed rumors of it being under new management as of 2010.
Meet hundreds of family members living, working & playing in a permanent Renaissance Village! Visitors to this 1450-1600 European Village are entertained, discover fine arts and crafts, and enjoy delectable food and beverages. The setting is the fictitious estate of the Baron Heinrich Von Lauffer, located along the Rhine river (aka Santa Ana River) between Mainz and Strasbourg. Each year the Baron invites the finest minds and most talented actors to celebrate the coming of spring at his Barony of Koroneburg. The festival celebrates the inventions and changes of the renaissance period.
